Out of School Care (OOSC) School Age Program Coordinator – Canmore

Canmore Community Daycare Society (CCDS) is seeking candidates for an OOSC School Age Program Coordinator position. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and collaborative leader who demonstrates ongoing positive interactions. The successful candidate will exhibit strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

The OOSC Program Coordinator will supervise and facilitate the efficient operation of the OOSC Program which includes 3 classrooms with ages ranging from 4 – 12. The Coordinator will also organize, facilitate and oversee the development and delivery of all the Camp Programs including: Winter Camp, Family Week Camp, Spring Break Camp, and Summer Camp.

The ideal candidate:

  • Has previous experience in Early Childhood Education and/or holds an Alberta Teaching    Certificate
  • Holds an Alberta Child Development Supervisor designation
  • Has demonstrated leadership abilities in an ECE setting
  • Ability to manage the multitude of tasks all while maintaining positive and professional communications/interactions
  • Has a child-centred philosophy and acts aligned with that belief
  • Is energetic, creative and resourceful
  • Demonstrates a commitment to student success and actively participates with students in our care
  • Demonstrates excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Has a positive attitude and is a flexible thinking team player
  • Shows a passion for creating enriching experiences for children/staff, after school and during Camps
  • Thorough understanding and importance of the health, welfare and safety of young children
